Dr. Enoch Sebuyungo is the Coordinator of the Centre for Language & Communication Services ,Makerere University.
He graduated with a B.A. (Hons) degree from Makerere University in 1991. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Education and an M.A. from Makerere which he both obtained in 1996. Thereafter, he received an M.A. from the Université de Rouen, France in 2002. In 2010 he obtained a Ph.D in Linguistics from the Université de Poitiers in France.
In addition to teaching French and Linguistics, Dr Sebuyungo is interested in carrying out research in language translation and foreign language learning. He is particularly interested in the translation of Ugandan languages into European languages and vice-versa. He is also intrigued by the interplay of various factors in the learning and teaching of foreign languages as well as the interface dynamics of national and international languages.
At the Centre, his administrative role is to ensure that the Centre delivers quality services in language teaching, language translation as well as communication courses. According to Dr Sebuyungo, the ability to communicate proficiently in national and international languages is an invaluable software that should be acquired by all and sundry.
